A Cranky Old Man Award

"The Walter"

It is September, time for the second annual awarding of

“The Walter.”

Because, unlike Suldog http://jimsuldog.blogspot.com/, I believe there cannot be enough blog awards, so I have added my own.  It is named after Jeff Dunham’s hysterical cranky old man puppet, “Walter.”

This award recognizes those bloggers who post consistent (3 days a week or more) original, humorous and or thought provoking material, and or anyone I damn well feel like awarding it to.

To accept this award you need only grab it from above, and display it on your blog.  (I assume no responsibility if it is stolen copy written material)

There are no questions to answer. If recipients wish to award it to anyone they feel meets the above criteria, you are hereby authorized to do so.

The part of this process I don’t like is leaving out so many great bloggers.  I follow lots of bloggers, I like all the blogs that I follow and I read all the posts; so if I follow, know you have received an Honorable Mention Walter, also, there is always next year!

You may look inside the parenthesis and think “Ah ha! Nepotism.”

Well yeah! So? Mary Beth does not fit the above stated criteria as she does not blog regularly, but she is my daughter and her posts are well written and entertaining.  Go visit and read her older posts.

The second WALTER goes to "Cup on the Bus" by Joanne @ http://cuponthebus.blogspot.com/    

Joanne does fit all the above criteria.  Her posts go from great photos, to what’s happening in her life, to wonderful stories and just interesting stuff.  Plus she is just my kind of hard working, no nonsense, old-fashion kind’a gal with a sneaky sense of humor.

Joanne recently lost her brother Walt, this had no bearing on my choice, but the coincidence is not lost on me.  I hope this award has some special significance to her.

This West Virginia lady posts a little of everything.  She pokes fun at Hillbillies but be careful, she is fiercely protective of her people.  Good stuff, good stories and an occasional rant.

 

The Final WALTER is a Lifetime Achievement award and goes "It's always something..." posted by Lo @ http://loisstearns.blogspot.com/

Lo posts only sporadically as of late due to failing eyesight.  She is an interesting feisty lady and to read her posts is to fall in love.  I admit to having a blogmance with Lo but I am willing to share.  Go, visit, read her older posts and fall in blogmance yourself.
