We had three walls in a pastel shade of green and a feature wall in a pastel shade of lavender, with all woodwork being cream instead of white. This only works if you use the right tints of each colour and my mum knew what she was doing. it was the talk of the neighbourhood for quite a while.Riverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14794655013673748992noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-75880201589986019882017-03-06T22:13:22.287-05:002017-03-06T22:13:22.287-05:00It might have been easier (and more profitable) to...It might have been easier (and more profitable) to rent your porch out to a steel drum band for practice space.Valhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13025832536749983018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-77066837099675748942017-03-06T20:38:02.411-05:002017-03-06T20:38:02.411-05:00I love your neighbor's description. The ones around here are all fairly boring and look the same from the outside. In fact, it has been known for me to walk up the path of the house next door but one and try my key in the door since they installed the same blinds as me in the front window. I don't have a porch to paint in bright colours so I'm working on the inside instead. I have a bright turquoise wall in the dining room and I have 'plans' for the fireplace in the front room which no doubt I will blog about when I get to it (may not be in this decade though ...).Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04402703967636964187noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-30921640467131563292017-03-06T07:45:37.745-05:002017-03-06T07:45:37.745-05:00How easily we cave to the opinion of others...or s...How easily we cave to the opinion of others...or sometimes, just come to our senses.Olgahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00692441479616299920noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-64122868789725587562017-03-06T07:44:03.787-05:002017-03-06T07:44:03.787-05:00I suppose one has to consider the 'streetscape...I suppose one has to consider the 'streetscape' but really, if a colour combination pleases you and makes you smile when you pull in your driveway THAT is what really matters.only slightly confusedhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08165115156889904978noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-65932230778608089242017-03-06T06:15:00.849-05:002017-03-06T06:15:00.849-05:00But did you like the end result, the one before yo...But did you like the end result, the one before you covered it with white paint?Valeriehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12099030819314552958noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-8993681435852861702017-03-06T02:24:01.360-05:002017-03-06T02:24:01.360-05:00When we moved into our home there were cracks in t...When we moved into our home there were cracks in the ceiling plaster. We were advised to put waterproof bathroom wallpaper on the ceilings & then to paint right over it. Since we didn't care about the patterns, we bought small odd pieces from the wallpaper store. Our neighbors were undoubtedly concerned about the crazy new people moving in who covered their ceilings in plaids & bright floral prints.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-968059214758329257.post-61478049197535698812017-03-06T01:00:36.715-05:002017-03-06T01:00:36.715-05:00That is pretty funny, man.
